His story
Emanuel’s grandfather was a Jewish priest in Ethiopia. An evangelist from the UK shared the gospel with him, and he chose to follow Yeshua. The family came to Israel, where Emanuel was born into a Jewish family of believers in Yeshua.
He grew up attending an Orthodox Jewish school and a small Ethiopian congregation with no music. At his first youth conference he saw live worship for the first time. He went home, started learning music, and began leading worship in his home congregation.
After his military service, he felt God calling him to take worship out of Zion to the nations. Friends advised him to earn money first. “How much money is enough money for me to start following God’s calling upon my life? I could not put a number. So I just started right in.”
